Social Studies at Merit Academy Preschool
 Children learn personal independence.
Learning personal independence and understanding how one interacts with the rest of the world are the focus of Merit's Preschool Social Studies program. The children learn how to dress themselves and take care of their personal hygiene. They also learn how to work with another student or small groups of children. By role playing, the children explore their world from a different perspective. Under the guidance of their teacher, the children learn socialization skills that will prepare them for larger academic settings.
